Sales Booth Design for SBB: An Open Retail Concept

Sales booths in shopping centres are often designed as enclosed kiosks, creating physical and visual barriers between the brand and its customers. For SBB in Ušće Shopping Center, Belgrade, Ollo Studio took a different approach by developing an open retail concept that encourages movement through the space and invites customers to engage with the brand from every direction.
Designing an Open Retail Experience
The biggest challenge was moving away from the typical "box" kiosk design. By opening the booth on all sides, the concept creates a more approachable retail experience, allowing visitors to move freely through the space and naturally engage with the brand.

Brand Communication Through Architecture
The booth was designed to express SBB's retail identity through clean architectural forms, bold branding and a monochrome palette of white and black. Graphic elements become part of the architecture, ensuring the brand remains visible from across the shopping centre.

Interactive Product Experience
Rather than relying solely on printed information, customers can explore SBB's services through tablets integrated into the service counters, while digital screens positioned on the booth corners communicate current offers and promotions.
Functional Service Counters
The booth features two customer service counters, allowing multiple consultations to take place simultaneously while maintaining an open and organised layout.

From Concept to Implementation
The project was developed through floor plans, technical documentation and realistic 3D visualisations, allowing every detail—from circulation to branding—to be refined before production.
